Things we're not covering on June 25, 2008
This is the other stuff that happened today:
- The Barack Obama campaign is getting so stanky rich that Obama is now asking donors to help alleviate Hillary Clinton's campaign debt. This in anticipation of their big rally in the tiny town of Unity, NH this week, which closely beat out the towns of Celebration, FL and Smilingthroughyourteeth, TX. [NYT]
- A group of awesome citizens in San Francisco is lobbying to have their water treatment facility renamed in honor of President Bush. They want to name it "The George W. Bush Sewage Plant." Not a joke. [Atrios]
- The White House didn't like a new policy created by the EPA, so, to avoid the issue altogether, they just never opened the email. Does it bother you that the White House has the same attitude about the EPA as you have about herbal penis enlargement supplements? [TPM]
- The DNC has hired a "Director of Greening" for the National Convention in Denver. One of the early demands is for 15,000 volunteer fannypacks made of organic, union cotton. My god. Organic fannypacks? Democrats, are you trying to counterbalance will.i.am with the whitest thing we've ever heard of? [WSJ]
- Ralph Nader will NOT apologize for the remarks he made about Barack Obama wanting to "talk white" and not focus on poverty/inner city issues. If Mr. Nader continues to not apologize for things it could result in people starting to remember he still exists. [NYT]
