GOP says Democrats using code to hint at McCain's grave...whoops, sorry, age!

There's nothing "old" about John McCain. You're just looking at him through old eyes.

Apparently, Republicans thought that the 25-year age difference between Barack Obama and John McCain would be hardly noticeable—and certainly not something that anyone would reference. (Conversely, would anyone notice the issue of age if 46-year-old Barack Obama was running against a 21-year-old Republican?)

In an article on Politico, it was reported that Republicans are convinced that Democrats are running a "crypto-ageist strategy." Democrats, it's argued, are using "code words" to make McCain's very very old age an issue in the campaign. This issue of age prompted old veteran Republican strategist Ed "I'm scowling as best as I can" Rollins to say:

It is code; there is no question it is. [The Democrats] are trying to raise doubts.

In some original reporting, we here at 23/6 have cracked the code. The GOP's allegations are revealed and confirmed...

How the Democrats have used code to make John McCain's old age an issue in the campaign

Democratic QuoteCrypto-ageist Meaning
"When it comes to the economy, John McCain and I have a fundamentally different vision of where to take the country."
—Barack Obama
John McCain is almost legally blind—that’s what happens to old people.
"It's another example of short-term political posturing from Washington, not the long-term leadership we need to solve our dependence on oil."
—Barack Obama
John McCain’s crippled posture, his hunched over gait, is due to his extremely old age.
“John McCain is Washington's biggest supporter for worst foreign policy decision of our generation. If you want to talk about going backwards...John McCain has done that."
—John Kerry
“Our generation” differs vastly from John McCain’s generation: known for its Model Ts and flappers. Old people often aspire to going backwards, any attempt to stop the aging process.
"Thank you so much. I want to start today by saying how grateful I am to all of you."
—Hillary Clinton
Today? Does John McCain even know what day it is? Or is he still having flashbacks from the Great Caveman War?

with the generation gap, most would understand how the terminology would contrast sharply, just as we would notice a grandchild talking to their grandparent...if you are not current with the video games, the computer usage, and the new issues that a newer generation has to deal with, you will look old...even if you are not, or even if you do not act old. your language is old!!! that makes communication SEEM "old" even if it is not? take a realistic look...obama has two young daughters, he has a different perspective, a different focus. he cares about global warming...because he will be accountable to his grandchildren, and great grandchildren. don't whine...face your generation gap and improve it, show your youthful energy, if you really have it!! this country actually needs a president that is current, to tackle the issues of this generation, as well as generations issues of the past, no?
