Non-Iraq Middle East

Bush's Middle East trip as successful as his Middle East war

President Bush returned from a five day visit to the Middle East with almost nothing to show for it. His partisan speech at the Knesset was roundly criticized in the United States. He was unable to talk the Saudis into helping to alleviate America's gas crunch. He is no closer to peace between Palestinians and Israelis than he was at the start of his administration.

So what the hell was going through the president's mind during these meetings?
