   Thought Process Flowchart: Jason Castro

UPDATE! Bizarrely unsinkable "American Idol" hanger-on Jason Castro may finally have done did himself in on Tuesday night. First, the dreadlocked Texan 20-year-old underwhelmed the judges with a flaccid rendition of Bob Marley's "I Shot the Sheriff," then sheepishly bungled the lyrics of "Mr. Tambourine Man."

Pubescent powerhouse David Archuleta once flubbed the words to a Beatles song, but he's still going strong, and even though virginal crybaby Brooke White forgot the words to Andrew Lloyd Webber's "You Must Love Me," she stayed in the running well beyond her expiration date. Legions of crushed-out tweens couldn't save the blue-eyed ukulele hag from oblivion. How could he slip up so carelessly in the Top 4? What was he thinking?
