"Project Runway" moves to Lifetime: goodbye tranny, hello nanny
Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum are already taking estrogen supplements.
Big news: "Project Runway," the fagalicious fashion-design reality competition that's been Bravo TV's bread and butter for the last four years, will move to Lifetime after its contract expires at the end of its fifth season. Miramax), which owns "Runway," is taking the show over to the network for women because Bravo wouldn't renegotiate and bundle Runway in with a bunch of other Weinstein-created shows. NBC, which owns Bravo, is fighting the move.
Meanwhile, Lifetime is creaming its Ann Taylor Loft slacks. The show's finally big enough to warrant its own SNL sketch, and it'll only get bigger. But not without a few notes from its new overlords...
