Cheer up, Europe, America has plenty of non-religious nutbags too
A major study by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life reveals that 44 percent of Americans have left the faith of their childhood. In fact, one third of the respondents who were raised Catholic no longer participate in the Church. In another surprise, 16 percent of American adults say they are not part of any organized faith, describing their beliefs as "nothing in particular." This means that the "unaffiliated," most of whom are males under the age of 50, comprise America's fourth largest religious group.
Who are these "unaffiliated" men, and if they can't commit to a God, what does that mean for their girlfriends?
