Obama's race-based appeal wins over sleepy white folks

Barack Obama got some big wins on Super Tuesday night with some strong support from what is clearly one of his core constituencies: isolated white people. Just look at the numbers—a 36 point win over Clinton in Minnesota, a 25 point win in North Dakota, an 11 point win in Utah and a 65 point win (65!) in Idaho. What's the deal?

Why did rural whites go so strongly for Obama?

They've seen "Yes We Can" video and a name like Johansson carries a lot of weight out there.

Sheer boredom.

They sense they might actually be better dancers than Obama.

They don't know Obama's black.

Meth.
