David Beckham moves from "bending it" to "destroying Earth"


David Beckham emits carbon dioxide on some young African fans

David Beckham is killing us. Very slowly and gassily. A new study conducted by the UK funded Carbon Trust has found that the star soccer player's yearly carbon footprint equals 163 tons of carbon dioxide, making him, arguably, the biggest individual emitter of carbon dioxide in history. In contrast, the average British person is responsible for just 9.4 tons.

Some of the CO2 is undoubtedly from his 15 cars, but to be fair, he needs those. What about the rest? Using statistics from Carbon Trust and some of our own research, we have completed this chart to help the you figure out where all that gas is coming from:
