23/6 investigates: Turks are Germany's Mexicans

Cheer up, hermano. Lots of immigrants are hated in their new homes!

Germany is in an uproar following the attack of an elderly pensioner by two Turkish youths. The 76-year-old's skull was bashed on a Munich subway. Conservative Germans are using the incident to stir up anti-immigrant sentiment, while liberal Germans are wishing the entire thing hadn't happened.

Sound familiar? As it turns out, most Western countries have Mexicans, or "immigrants" as they preferred to be called. In Germany's case, those "Mexicans" are immigrants from nearby Turkey. In a special 23/6 report, we ask which other countries have "Mexicans," and where are those "Mexicans" from?
