The nomination of Michael Mukasey, President Bush's choice for Attorney General, is in trouble because Mukasey refuses to say whether he considers waterboarding to be torture. "I will review any coercive interrogation techniques currently used," he wrote Senate Judiciary Committee members. "If, after such a review, I determine that any technique is unlawful, I will not hesitate to so advise the president." He also told the New York Times that waterboarding is "on a personal basis, repugnant."
So is Joe Biden, but you don't see the Geneva Convention doing anything about him.
