Sinkhole chat on "Today" (video)
"The Today Show" cohost Ann Curry realizes, while pattering about the widening sinkhole (sounds dirty!) near Daisetta, Texas, that she knows absolutely nothing about geology. Unforch, Research and the Teleprompter aren't much help. Hasn't this sinkhole thing been going on since yesterday?:
The "Today" playbook says when you're at a loss about something, pass the ball to Al Roker. If that doesn't work, improvise a folksy safety axiom, then START EXCHANGING PLEASANTRIES.
Bottom line, though? Watching stuff fall into holes = awesome.
