Hillary Clinton Refuses to Get Off Treadmill Despite Clear Signs She Is Over the Time Limit |
Chappaqua, NY - New York Senator Hillary Clinton caused a bit of a stir Wednesday during a brief break from the campaign trail after the West Virginia primary. Stopping at the New York Sports Club near her home to get in a quick workout, Clinton began a brisk jog on one of the facility's six treadmills. The fitness establishment has a well publicized policy that members must limit their workout to thirty minutes, as dictated by the signs hanging above each machine. All guests of the gym agree to abide by the club's rules before they join. However, as the Presidential hopeful neared the half hour mark, she appeared in no way ready to end her workout.
With several other patrons waiting nearby to begin their workouts, Clinton continued running, ignoring their calls for her to quit. "I have the right to keep going," she said. After forty-eight minutes, Senator Clinton appeared tired and extremely worn out, but refused to admit her run should come to an end. Some senior managers from the NYSC called for her to quit as well, saying her actions are causing a rift in the gym. "All of the people that were running alongside her when she started have left," said manager Sean Harris. "It is time Hillary Clinton step aside to let someone new have a turn." At press time, Clinton was still on the treadmills after being two hours and twenty minutes over her limit.
This is not the first time Clinton has refused to call it quits despite clear signs that she should end. Two months ago, while refueling her campaign bus at a rest stop on the New Jersey Turnpike, Clinton decided to play Time Crisis 2 at the arcade outside the bathrooms. When all her credits were used up, she continued to fire at high score screen until a campaign aide pried the gun from her hands.
