Huckabee Claims Confusion about Crossing Picket Line

Sybil Adelman Sage | Bio

Though it's been asserted by the WGA that they'd contacted Huckabee's staff prior to his appearance last night with Jay Leno and clarified that the show had no waiver, the GOP candidate responded to charges he'd crossed a picket line by saying he thought the agreement made with David Letterman extended to all late night shows, and went on to say that he supports the writers. "My bad" doesn't inspire trust in the man's integrity.

A few days earlier, Huckabee tried to appear as if he were taking the high road by going on TV to announce he'd retracted a nasty anti-Romney commercial produced by his team, nevertheless showing the commercial with the explanation, "If I didn't, they'd say we hadn't made it."

Just as there were no weapons of mass destruction, there was no agreement between the WGA and The Tonight Show. If you consider yourself presidential material, do a little fact checking. Let's hope Iowans are taking note.

And what was Bob Saget's justification for going on "The Tonight Show"? "I wanted everyone to see how not entertaining some of us are without a script?"
