McCain Claims Obama Playing Elderly, White Republican Card |
In what is the latest attack of the divisive campaign being run by Barack Obama, John McCain is alleging that Obama has gone obscenely negative, by appearing in his commercials and speeches as a "young, black, Democrat."
"Barack Obama has played the elderly, white Republican Card and he played it from the bottom of the deck," said McCain campaign manager Rick Davis. "Its divisive, negative, shameful and wrong."
In most of his campaign stops yesterday, Obama did indeed appear to be black, and if not young, certainly more youthful that McCain.
"He's just trying to scare the young, non-white Democrats into not voting for John," said Davis.
The Obama camp responded that the McCain campaign is the one playing the elderly, white Republican Card. "And not from the bottom of the deck," said one young Obama staffer. "He's pulling from the middle of deck which is much more difficult to catch."
