Saudi Government Arrests - 1,292 Terrorists

Ross Raffin | Bio

Saudi Arabia announced last Wednesday that it had arrested 208 terrorists who were implicated in various terror plots against Saudi Arabia. The kingdom, according to the Associated Press, is "waging a heavy crackdown on al-Qaeda militants since a 2003 wave of attacks on foreigners here." In April, Saudi Arabia arrested 172 militants who were planning oil refinery attacks using civilian planes.

Boo-yah, go Sauds! Osama Bin Laden's hometown pulling out the big guns...and politeness.

Why do I say politeness? Because I can think of no more polite method to combat terrorism than to release 1,500 Al Qaeda terrorists if they promise not to wage jihad. This occurred a week before the arrest announcement. By the way, these 1,500 were made up of prisoners captured since 2003's "heavy crackdown."

Look, even John McCain lied to his captors when he was a prisoner of war. Would you really want to release McCain from a prison just on the "promise" of not fighting his jihad against Hillary? One would think there is no Arabic equivalent for the word "recidivism."

So 208 terrorists were imprisoned, 1,500 were released. That's -1,292 terrorists arrested since the crackdown began. However, to those who are religious enough, this number can actually be a great achievement. It's quite easy: The strictly religious deal only in absolute values.
