Today's Sign of the Apocalypse: Wii Fit

Rob Kutner | Bio

My new book, Apocalypse How, is about how the world is about to end...and why we should be psyched! It's the first-ever work of apocalyptic literature that "accentuates the positive"--and teaches you how to not just survive, but thrive. As with any exciting new endeavor, however, the key to thriving in a post-apocalyptic world is PREPARATION. In that spirit, I'll be alerting you whenever I spot a sign of our impending doom--or should I say, your impending opportunity!

SIGN: Nintendo unveils the first-ever "home fitness video game," the Wii Fit.

WHY THAT'S A SIGN: Newly pumped-up video gamers will be able to stand up to their schoolyard tormentors, stopping the estimated $9 billion annual loss in milk money.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Increased purchase of milk will put unsustainable demands on the world's cows, arousing the ire of nuclear-armed India...

WHY THAT'S GREAT NEWS: With India's attention elsewhere, Pakistan will be able to liberate Kashmir, finally creating the long-awaited homeland for one of the world's most oppressed and misunderstood people: "Zepheads."
