Today's Sign of the Apocalypse: President Bush Apologizes

Rob Kutner | Bio

Melancholy Dane, death - get it?

My new book, Apocalypse How, is about how the world is about to end...and why we should be psyched! It's the first-ever work of apocalyptic literature that "accentuates the positive"--and teaches you how to not just survive, but thrive. As with any exciting new endeavor, however, the key to thriving in a post-apocalyptic world is PREPARATION. In that spirit, I'll be alerting you whenever I spot a sign of our impending doom--or should I say, your impending opportunity!

SIGN: President Bush apologizes to Iraqi president for U.S. solider shooting Koran.

WHY THAT'S A SIGN: What else would you call a sentence beginning with the words "President Bush apologizes"?

WHAT TO EXPECT: Noting the lack of Muslim outrage over this, Danish cartoonist who drew that Muhammad cartoon in 2005 becomes apoplectic, and draws a series of cartoons so explosively devastating, they bring entire institutions, governments, kings, queens, and subcommittees to their knees.

WHY THAT'S GREAT NEWS: Among the smoking ruins, a small band of survivors emerges fearfully, outlawing the OpEd page completely.
