"What Change Means to Me": A Five-Paragraph Essay by the American Electorate |
This essay is about what Change means to me. What Change means to me is a lot of things. First, Change means that now you have something different. Second, Change means that now you have something new. Lastly, Change means not voting for a third party. These are the things that Change means to me.
First, Change means something different. There are all sorts of things you can change, like a regime, or a light bulb! When one light bulb dies, you put in a new one that does the same thing. This is also what we do with presidents. We call this democracy. Another thing you can change is your underwear, but you had better do that more than once every four years!
Anyway, Change also means that now you have something new. Right now, we have a president that is not new. People want something that is new, so they are going to vote for Change, because otherwise we'd have the same president for four, eight, or twelve more years! If you don't vote for Change, one person can be president forever. We call this Russia.
Lastly, Change means not voting for a third party. Change means not voting for a third party because that won't work. Did you know that Canada has four political parties, and Israel has twelve? That sounds confusing! If you want real Change, vote for someone with a lot of money, so then they can get into the White House and be a new light bulb. (Remember?!)
In conclusion, Change can mean a lot of things, like something is different, new, or not a third party. If you want Change, vote for someone who is all of these things. These are the things that Change means to me.
