Rep. James Clyburn recently called Bill Clinton's campaign antics "bizarre." Being English, it reminds me of some unseemly behavior from another prominent husband. As he lurches from one gaffe to the next, Bill Clinton is starting to look a lot like Prince Philip.
During a state visit to China in 1986, the prince famously told a group of British students: "If you stay here much longer, you'll all be slitty-eyed." His "bizarre," offensive comment made him seem a nasty relic of the old empire. A role Bill is dangerously close to occupying as he rails against a Democratic Party in the process of liberating itself from the Clinton monarchy. Are we witnessing a man collapsing under the weight of his own ego? The "Sense of Entitlement" butting up against the rather uncomfortable reality of a legacy that is now irrevocably tarnished? I wrote a musical in one song dedicated to this archetype, entitled Little Princess. I hope you like it.

Little Princess is one of 4 songs that will either be on the next record, or on its own EP.
